FIRST IMPRESSIONS: Rimmel Match Perfection Foundation

I can honestly say that I've never really been in love with Rimmel products. Sure, there's been one or two things I've loved, but the vast majority of things I have tried have quickly been shoved to the back of my make up collection. So when this foundation was recommended to me by a friend (because the palest shade is lighter than most foundations which is what I need) I was quite skeptical. I had also read that it only provided a light coverage which isn't usually something I'd go for but nevertheless I decided to give it a whirl and I am so glad I did.

At first, I didn't think this foundation was all that good. I have an issue sometimes with foundation staying in my T-zone as it's a problem area for me, and within a few hours of application it had seemingly slid off. I also didn't really like how much powder I had to use to get rid of the so-shiny-its-almost-greasy look. However my opinions drastically changed after I tried it again the next day after purchasing Benefit's Porefessional (a much better primer than the one I already had) and found that it worked a treat. I was out on a busy shopping trip, which admittedly involved some very warm and sweaty shops, and it it didn't even budge. Also, the shade 010 Light Porcelain is perfect for me, which is honestly a first.

So my advice to anyone not getting along with this foundation would be to pair it with a GOOD primer and translucent powder and see how it goes. I've only been using it for a few days, but by the looks of it Match Perfection is here to stay. If you want to give it a try, you can buy it here.

Have you used Match Perfection? If so, I'd love to hear your opinions in the comments, as I've heard quite a mixed bunch so far!

    1. Let me know how you get along with it. Thank you, I don't see the point in posting a perfect review if the product doesn't live up to it! xx

  2. I've tried this foundation before, and it unfortunately did not work out for me..I ended up switching to revlon's color stay foundation, but I still have this foundation in my makeup drawer. I might give it another try with a better primer! Thanks for sharing <3 :)
