The Little Things

It’s no secret to my friends, family or twitter followers (oops) that my brain is a little bit of a mess right now. I struggled mentally all throughout my teenage years and it’s cruelly followed me into my early 20s now too. My mental health is something that I’m beginning to accept; I get this way sometimes. There often isn’t a trigger or an obvious cause, I just get stuck but I have to say I’m getting tired of it.

That being said, I‘ve been thinking recently how nice it’d be to change my ways a little bit. I’d love to get into blogging, to do things that used to bring me joy... I could even just say I’d love to get back into a somewhat normal life. At first I didn’t know where to start but I think I’m onto something here. By making this list I’m hoping I can look back on it on those dark days and realise there’s so much I’m missing out on being stuck in my own head all the time.

Over the past few months I’ve realised that sometimes it’s the smallest things that can bring a smile to my face, or bring a little bit of sunshine to an otherwise gloomy day in my life. These things can be tiny and insignificant to others, but just finding a little something to be happy about really can help me get through the day. Here’s my list featuring just some of ‘life’s little things’.
