REVIEW: Maybelline Baby Skin Instant Fatigue Blur

Until the other day, it had been a while since I went on a proper make up shop, as opposed to running into Boots or Superdrug and picking up exactly what I needed and leaving before temptation to buy anything else took over me. This probably explains why I'm a bit late to the party with the new Baby Skin; I hadn't actually heard of it until about 3 weeks ago. I love the original Baby Skin primer, so it goes without saying that I needed to get my hands on this one too. I was waiting until my old one ran out completely, as it was near the end anyway, and finally managed to get hold of this last week.

First things first, I really like the colours and the packaging of this product, as well as the shade names "Cool rose" or "Warm apricot". I just think the whole things is really cute! I picked up the shade Cool rose, which is a really pretty pale pink colour and smells pretty good too. I didn't really know what to expect from this primer when I first went to try it, and I accidentally squeezed a bit too much out! It's basically a water-based, lotion-like primer- very different to the original. I use my fingers to apply it, and it seems to blend just fine.

I've seen some people say that a little goes a long way with this primer, but I have to say I don't really agree, I already feel like I've used a substantial amount of it and I haven't actually had it that long or used more that absolutely necessary. However, that's the only down side I've found with the product so far. I've been able to use it with a full face of make up, or just with a bit of concealer and powder on good face days, which is a bonus for me as I'm often in a rush and putting foundation on everyday is quite the inconvenience. Another bonus is that it really has made my skin look brighter and made me look and feel more wide awake, which is really helpful as I'm not sleeping as much as I should be at the moment!
All in all I think this is a great edition to the Baby Skin family, and I'd quite like to try out the Warm apricot shade too. Have you tried the Instant Fatigue Blur yet? If not, you can find it here. If you have, let me know what you thought!
