Mini Yankee Candle Haul

Recently I've become a bit of a candle fiend. Yes, I am aware fiend is a bit of a strange word to use when talking about candles, but it's the only way I can think to describe my new found obsession. I was never really interested in candles; my mum burned them sometimes and they were pretty but that was all I thought. Then, about a year ago, I bought a strawberry cheesecake flavoured candle in a cute jar from Primark. I absolutely LOVED it, but I never really bought many more. I always knew I wanted to get some Yankee Candles though, but I didn't end up purchasing any until very recently, so to mark the occasion I thought I'd let you know which ones I've bought! Also, in advance, I apologise if these photos aren't quite in focus as I've been trying to master manual focus recently!

Firstly, my favourite candle so far is actually Christmas Cookie, which I bought from an independent card shop just after Christmas when it was on sale. It was a total bargain, so I bought a few! They last me quite a while, and I'm just on my last one which is why I haven't managed to photograph it. If you get a chance to get your hands on this before next Christmas, I totally recommend it! Although the scent is relatively festive it just smells so delicious I could enjoy it any time of year.

I got these in a Valentine's Day set from a local garden centre, and although I haven't actually used them yet, they smell so good that I can't wait to give them a go! I mostly got this set because I really wanted a candle holder, plus I've wanted to try the Red Raspberry and Pink Grapefruit scents for a while. Also, I usually stick to food-y scents like Vanilla and Christmas Cookie, so I'm hoping to branch out a bit so my bedroom doesn't always smell exactly the same.

Summer Scoop is quite possibly the best scent I've ever come across. I can honestly say I had never come across it before, so when I found it in the shop I just had to buy it! It basically smells like strawberry flavoured ice cream, which is actually one of my favourites, and it just brings back fond memories of summer holidays. A bit cheesy, I know. Although it isn't summer or even spring yet, I've really enjoyed having this candle burning away in my room. On the other hand, Vanilla Cupcake is a scent I'm very much used to and love dearly. Vanilla has always been one of my favourite scents, whether its candles or cupcakes! I really recommend this to anyone who uses candles when they're just relaxing, as that's exactly what this helps me to do.

There we have it! I hope you enjoyed something a little different on my blog today. Also, I'm sorry about the lack of posts over the last week or so, I've been facing a lot of big decisions and have been quite stressed out, but everything should be back on track from now on. I'd love to know about your favourite candles, Yankee or otherwise, let me know in the comments!
