Beauty Wishlist #1

If you're familiar with my blog, you'll know that I love a good wish list. With that in mind, and my first payday on the horizon, I decided it would only be right to start a little series of sorts. Basically, my plan is that I won't make another (beauty) wish list until I have either bought or changed my mind about everything on the previous one. I'm hoping it will a) save me lusting after 900 things at once and b) stop me from bombarding you with more wish list posts than you know what to do with!
Without further ado, let's get started!

Make Up Revolution Ultra Blush and Contour Palette in Golden Sugar

Not too long ago, I bought the same palette in the shade 'Hot Spice'. Big, big mistake. As a very pale person, the shades in Hot Spice are way too loud for me to wear comfortably and it felt like a waste when I had to pile on the powder to try and take the edge off them a little bit. However, after many sessions of swatching crouched on the floor of my local Superdrug, I have decided that Golden Sugar is definitely more me. I can't wait to buy it and let you guys know if it lives up to my expectations.

Make Up Revolution Ultra Eyeshadow Palette in Mermaids Forever

Being an avid fan of eye shadow, this palette really is a dream come true. The range of shades is so wide and I honestly get excited just thinking about how many different combinations of shadow I could do with this. Sadly, they don't stock it in Superdrug yet and I begrudge paying postage on anything from MUR because last time I did, the product ended up in my local store a few days later.

Urban Decay 24/7 Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner in Perversion

To some people's horror, I have never owned a decent liquid eyeliner. I know, it's shocking. Ever since I knew what eyeliner was I've been using Collection's Extreme Felt Tip Liner but recently I've been so bored of it that I decided to test the waters of the liquid eyeliner ocean. Being previously unemployed, I had little money to spend on a decent one so have been using one from Poundland, and I am getting to grips with it eventually. I've heard nothing but good things about the Urban Decay one though, and I can't wait to try it. It looks so easy to apply and the name just intrigued me to see how long it actually does last. No doubt a review will be posted when I finally get my hands on it.

I've been after this set for a while because I really want to get more into contouring; I can do the basics but I feel like the brushes I have now are limiting me slightly because I'm not 100% sure how to utilise them. I don't know, maybe it's just an excuse to get some new fancy brushes. I can't find these on the RT website, but iHerb is just as good if not better.

LA Splash Smitten Lip Tint Mousse in Bellatrix and Ravens Claw

These are lip tints based on Harry Potter, and I am completely in love with every last shade. Sadly, all the ones I'd actually be comfortable and confident wearing are out of stock, but I am praying they come back soon. Bellatrix is a lovely but daring purple colour whereas Ravens Claw is a pretty berry colour - perfect for autumn and winter!

LA Splash Lip Couture in Poison Apple

Like the Harry Potter inspired products, the Lip Couture is also out of stock in most shades. I believe (but may be wrong) that these shades are based on Disney princesses/Disney films. Snow White has been one of my favourite films since I was about 3 and, whether that was the intention or not, I can't help but relate the shade Poison Apple to the film.

Topshop Mono Eyeshadow in Hallucination and Hologram

Both of these eyeshadows are quite brave choices for me. They are both pastely glitter eyeshadows, one pink and one blue. I've swatched these in the shop quite a few times and I just love how pigmented they are and how sparkly they look on my skin. After taking several people with me to ask their opinions, I've finally decided to get one of them for a concert I'm going to. Now to decide which to get first!

Topshop 5 Years of Beauty Nails in Parma Violet

I am an absolute sucker for a pastel nail varnish, and paired with the pretty rose gold packaging, this one is an all-round winner. The colour is so pretty and it's subtle enough for me to wear to work which makes me want it even more.

Finally, this beautiful brush set from BH Cosmetics. I'd never actually heard of this brand until a friend bought this brush set and showed me a few days ago. As far as I know, they are an american brand so shipping to the UK could take a few weeks but when she told me she paid less that £15 for the brush set AND shipping I was sold. I've had a play around with them and they're really soft and feel quite expensive for what they are. As far as durability, they felt quite sturdy (is that the right word?) so I don't think they'd lose their shape easily which is really important to me!

So there we have it! A very long-winded wish list. I thought I'd give it a go this way instead of my usual 'list of links and nothing else' approach, and I actually quite enjoyed going into the detail I did. Let me know how you feel about this length of wish list, and I might do it every other wishlist.
Have a lovely day!
