Beauty Wishlist #2 || Cruelty Free

Hello! It feels like forever since I wrote a wish list post, and if you're familiar with my blog you'll know I love them, so I thought I'd bring back the Beauty Wishlist series I started in 2015. I did actually say on that post that I wouldn't make another until I had either bought or changed my mind about all the things on there, and I think I finally have! In addition to that, things are changing in my make up bag/skin care routine so I think it's about time for another one of these.

As you may have seen in my life update post last week, I recently became vegetarian and because of that I've been trying to sort through my make up bag and skin care collection and phase out all of the things that aren't cruelty free. I'm in a position where I don't feel like I can afford to completely clear everything out and throw things away, especially seeing as I didn't realise just how many things I had, so I've come up with a little system. After a lot of research I sat down with the entirety of my make up collection in front of me, and have used a nail varnish to mark all the things that aren't cruelty free, so that when I run out I know not to repurchase. It's going to be a bloody long process, but I'll eventually get to the stage where everything I own is cruelty free and therefore suitable. I've also written a list of alternative products I'm going to buy instead of the ones I'm getting rid of, so hopefully that will help me in the long run.

If I'm honest I was really really disappointed with the sheer volume of non-CF brands that I owned, purely because I didn't realise or had been told misleading information. It's going to be a big change for me considering a lot of my basic essentials aren't CF, but it's a change I'm looking forward to! So the things in this wish list are just a few things I need to change, plus a few added beauties. If anyone has any recommendations of brands or products they particularly love, I definitely would love to hear them, so feel free to leave a comment.
